Ok I have to admit I have been fully bitten by the Olympic bug! Even though it is in Canada, we’re no where close… but I feel as though we are crazily enough! I felt so much pride watching our athletes walking in during the opening ceremonies, and joy to see all the other countries present. Vancouver is playing host to the world and I think they’re doing an amazing job! Cudos to all who have done so much work organizing this!!
But yesterday was special. Alexandre Bilodeau won Canada’s first gold metal on our home turf!! I love that our entire nation has rallied up around him, and I love how humble he is. That this is just the beginning!! I have to admit, watching the coverage this morning I teared up watching him hug his brother right after winning. His brother has Cerebral Palsy and was there cheering him on and it was just so beautiful to see.
Feeling like a proud Canadian this morning, I grabbed this shot last week with my iphone… people looked at me pretty strangely, but I love our flag, and the blue blue sky sets it off so well! We are so blessed to live here.

and of course, a couple of my monkey’s… laying around in the snow… it’s what we do.
I can not resist him. Did I mention he mooned me last week?? seriously boy… what am I going to do with you??
Have a great week all!!
cheers
